Design and Form

The set's most distinctive feature is the multi-stage mechanism located in the backrest section. When the backrests are moved forward, the sofa takes on a compact and neat silhouette; when reclined, the seating depth increases, creating a wide surface ideal for lounging. The low-profile body is elevated by wooden legs, reducing visual weight. Soft-lined armrests continue at the same level as the seating surface, forming an uninterrupted line.

Material and Craftsmanship

The Lume Sofa Set is manufactured on a beech wood frame at our facilities in Kütahya Gediz OSB. The natural hardness of beech delays sagging in the seating structure and flexing in the frame over the years. The high-density foam used in the seat and back sections is selected to retain its initial fullness for a long time. The fabric used on the exterior surface is easy to wipe clean; a damp cloth is sufficient for daily dusting or minor stains. Avoiding cleaners containing bleach or solvents helps preserve the fabric's texture and color. Seam lines, edge turns, and assembly points are individually inspected before shipment.

How to Position It in Your Space?

Since the total depth of the sofa increases when the backrests are reclined, it is recommended to leave a few centimeters of clearance between the back wall and the sofa. Positioning the set perpendicular to a window allows daylight to spread across the seating surface. A coffee table placed with 40–45 cm of clearance in front eases movement and does not obstruct use of the mechanism.
